Natural wax candles (like soy or cocosoy) are more expensive primarily because their raw materials cost significantly more and are harder to produce than the cheap, petroleum-based paraffin wax used in budget candles.
· Burn Time & Value: While the upfront price is higher, natural waxes often burn slower and longer due to their chemical structure. A soy candle can last up to 50% longer than a paraffin one of the same size. When you calculate the "cost per hour" of burn time, the price difference often shrinks, and the natural candle can even be the better value.
· Health and Environment: Natural waxes are marketed as renewable, biodegradable, and cleaner-burning—producing minimal soot and fewer toxins. This premium aligns with growing consumer demand for healthier, more sustainable home products, supporting their higher market price.
1. Always trim the wick to 1/4 inch before lighting.
2. Burn until wax melts from edge to edge to avoid tunneling.
3. Never leave candle unattended
